All within the framework of a pilot project to provide Kazakhstani schools with broadband network access, which was previously announced by ICRIAP.

Now teachers and students in the village of Bulaksay can simultaneously work in the Kundelik system, on the Bilim land educational platform, the NOBD Internet resource and on many other online platforms for schools.

Connecting to broadband internet will not only improve the quality of education, but will also reduce the gap between rural and urban schools.

“We have worked out and agreed on a list of 270 schools that do not have the technical ability to provide Internet speeds of more than 20 Mbps. All of them are included in the StarLink project,” said Bagdat Kadyrov, director of the Akmola regional center for new technologies in education.

Meanwhile, the legal status of Starlink in Kazakhstan has not yet been determined, and Kazakhstanis may face a fine for using these systems.

The bill, which also concerns the legalization of satellite Internet from Elon Musk, was considered by the Mazhilis in the first reading in January of this year.
