The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of understanding with Amazon Kuiper, which provides for cooperation in the deployment of satellite communications services throughout the country.

This cooperation can open up new opportunities for providing high-speed Internet anywhere in the country.

Modern satellite communications technologies

Amazon Kuiper is a project aimed at providing the Internet using satellites in low Earth orbit. Systems such as Starlink and OneWeb have already established themselves in the global market.

Now Kazakhstan is striving not only to use these advanced technologies, but also to create competition in the satellite Internet market, which should improve the quality of services provided and reduce their cost for the population.

Ubiquitous Internet access

The signed memorandum will create the basis for the introduction of satellite communications services with high bandwidth and low latency, the digital ministry notes.

This will provide access to the Internet anywhere in Kazakhstan, including remote and hard-to-reach areas. Minister of Digital Development Zhaslan Madiyev emphasized that cooperation with Amazon Kuiper is an important step towards modernizing the country's satellite communications industry.

"Cooperation with Amazon Kuiper will allow us to implement modern satellite technologies, which, in turn, will contribute to the digitalization of the economy and improve the quality of life of the population," said Zhaslan Madiyev.

Amazon Kuiper has already expressed its readiness to expand cooperation with Kazakhstan. Company representative Jeff Kietzman noted that joint efforts will bring significant benefits to customers in Kazakhstan, opening up new opportunities for solving modern problems using satellite communications.
