The MCRIAP RK presented a project to train the population in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. According to the head of the digital ministry Zhaslan Madiyev, the plans are to cover a million people by 2029, including schoolchildren, students, civil servants and entrepreneurs:

“500 thousand schoolchildren, 300 thousand students, 90 thousand civil servants, 80 thousand entrepreneurs and 30 thousand people from other categories of the population.”

To implement this task, educational projects have already been opened, such as the TUMO creative technology center for schoolchildren and the TomorrowSchool artificial intelligence school, launched in October.

These initiatives are aimed at developing human capital and strengthening the IT industry.

The concept of artificial intelligence development for the period 2024-2029 was adopted by the government of Kazakhstan in July of this year.

This strategic document aims to expand the use of AI technologies in various sectors of the country's economy.

As part of research on infrastructure development in this area, it is planned to create a supercomputer, data centers and a national AI platform in the country, develop fiber-optic communication networks, and organize a number of training programs to increase human capital.
